Karen Brackett
Accounting
Karen Brackett joined Carey Contracting in August 2002. She mainly handles company accounting duties such as accounts receivable/accounts payable and payroll, but also acts as administrative support – she’s often the first voice you’ll hear when calling Carey Contracting.
Before joining Carey Contracting, Karen earned a Bachelor of Social Work degree from NMU. She also worked in banking in the Iron Mountain/Kingsford area.
Karen enjoys the work atmosphere at Carey Contracting. “The coworkers are like my extended family,” she said. Karen also noted that she is proud to work for a company with “such a good reputation.” “If a customer calls with a question or concern, someone from Carey Contracting will always get back to them,” said Karen. “And in insurance renovations, Carey Contracting is really known for handling ‘the hassle’ for you.”
When not at work, Karen enjoys spending time with her husband and four children. She likes boating, going to camp, and attending the children’s sporting events.
